"Strings in Deformed Spaces" is a tranlation of the author's Ph.D. thesis. It gives an overview of the gauge/string correspondence and a careful study of some of its classical moving string solutions. These strings perform their dynamics on some of the more important backgrounds of string theory, namely the five dimensional anti-de Sitter multiplied by an five dimensional sphere and the ten dimensional minkowskian plane space. These backgrounds are also studied in their deformed version. The procedure of deformation, its effect on the space's geometry, and also its effect on the energy of the moving strings are calculated in great detail.
