The genre of science fiction has always inspired the technological community: the Strugatsky brothers, Kir Bulychev, Ray Bradbury were the favorite writers of many engineers and scientists. Nowadays, Russian science fiction exists in the form of repeating plots and images, and these boundaries of genre have become too narrow for the sci-fi imagination. That’s why in 2018 the «Sistema» charitable foundation established «Future Times» prize to inspire talented authors who wants to write in science fiction. Over a month and a half, authors from 32 countries all over the world sent 1841 science fiction stories for the «Future Times». The professional jury selected the best works, which are combined in the collection. The «Future Times» includes 6 science fiction stories about the future world which shows the trends of modern technological progress. The authors of these stories looked at the eternal theme for literature and art from the technological side – what will be the world like with attainable immortality?
